Hello! My name is Adam, and I'm a Ph.D. candidate in philosophy at Syracuse University and Lecturer in Philosophy at UNC-Greensboro.

Before that, I took MAs in philosophy from Birkbeck and the University of Kentucky, respectively. Before even that, I attended Dutchess Community College, SUNY Oneonta, and SUNY Plattsburgh. I am a first-generation college and postgraduate student.

My dissertation is on group well-being, which I am working on with Ben Bradley (Chair). Dave Sobel, Hille Paakkunainen, and David Brink are also on my committee.

Here you can find a link to my CV, published papers, and my teaching experience. You can also find a large collection of useful links to resources for undergraduates and graduate students in philosophy alike. I also aim to periodically update this site with handouts and syllabi for public use (and so I can have them all in one place).

Outside of my AOS, I've (at one time or another) hyper focused on the topics/areas of self-knowledge, error theory, value comparability, intrinsic value, idealism in ethics, and the cognitivism/non-cognitivism debate.

Besides philosophy, every few months I obsess over a new hobby. Past hobbies have included (but are not limited to): Tolkien's legendarium (this hobby remains), billiards, table tennis, collectible trading card games, rare coins, guitar, Beethoven, time pieces, chess, rare books, modifying foam dart blasters, judo, Arsenal, mixology, the Bills, brewing espresso, bourbon, new testament studies, tennis, religious history, weightlifting, tobacco, poetry, stamps, trains, and brick building. I also took piano lessons for >15 years.
